There are three main elements in where to nominate a horse, ie. eligibility, the horses race preferences
(distance & going) and the horses competitiveness in the race category
(handicapping/weight received).
Eligibility is not a real concern as the system will automatically prevent you from nominating a
horse into a race that it is not eligible for in terms of the race categories win requirements, age and
sex of the horse.
Each horse has a ‘Hp’ (Horse Preference) page where you can record the horses preferences in terms
of distance/s and going/s after you have worked this out through careful study of its training. It
is then easy to locate races based on what you have saved as being suitable for the horse. Click
‘save & show races’ to filter through the complete race program using the criteria you have set,
select one or more races to nominate for.
Selected races are sent to your Basket where you are required to confirm payment of the nomination
fee before the race entry will be accepted.
You can also nominate directly by clicking the ‘N’ button for a horse in your stable. This page will give
you a broad selection of races to choose from and will include races that your horse may not be
suitable for but only display races the horse is eligible for. You will therefore need to
consider distance, going and weight carried to determine what to nominate for.
The ‘Na’ (Auto-Nomination) function or page is similar to the ‘Hp’ page but has the added feature of allowing
you to preset the criteria for races that the system may nominate your horse in during your absence.
It checks the daily race card based on what you have stipulated for the horse and nominates on your
behalf as long as there is a positive credit balance in your account to cover the nomination fee.
